Pure Bliss

I spent yesterday at the Kur-Royal Day Spa. It was a surprise gift from Brice. He figured I deserved a little time to myself since he had been out of town for the past 3 weeks.
Let me take a moment to say what a wonder man he is. He is so thoughtful, kind, giving and supportive. He is a wonderful husband and father. I am very blessed to have snagged him.

Saltwater Relaxation Pool

My friend Kim went with me and we had a wonderful time relaxing and destressing. There were so many great things to do there. My favorite was the sand light bath where you laid on a sandy beach with a simulated sunrise and sunset. I also enjoyed the herbal vapor room and massage. The hay steam bath and ice fountain were unique but I will definitely be heading back there. I guess you could say that Brice no longer has to worry about what to get me for my birthday or Christmas or Mother's day or our anniversary. Thanks sweetie for the gift and for watching all 5 kids!

Heidelberg

Last month we took a day trip with my Aunt to Heidelberg, Germany. It is famous for the castle ruins left from the 1600's. It was a cool and windy day, but we had a great time.
Misty, Avery, Caden, Brice, Kayla and Gay at the Main Gate.

Kayla and Caden down in the castle's cellar in the Wine Vat Building. This huge barrel was built in 1751 and can hold more than 208,000 liters of wine. They had a little snack shop there where we sat and had lunch.
The castle also contains a Pharmaceutical Museum. It has utensils and laboratory equipment from the 18th and 19th centuries. It was very interesting to see the difference when compared to the drive thru pharmacies we have today. The kids had fun making their own potions with natural flowers and herbs.

March Madness

Good thing I'm not a betting woman or I would be out some money. In the first round of the NCAA bracket I only picked 17 winners. That is just over half. I don't really follow the games closely but still have fun filling in a bracket. Brice will be back in town soon and then I will have to watch, I mean I will get to enjoy the games on TV. Go Memphis!!

Cosi Cosi

This is pepper schnitzel from my favorite restaurant in Frankfurt. I like to describe it as a breaded birthday present covered in liquid Christmas.
Yes. It is my favorite food ever.
Yes. Even better than anything in America.
Yes. Even better than PF Changs.
Yes. I left a few fries. (only because I ran out of sauce)
Yes. If the fries were gone before the sauce I would have licked the plate.
Yes. I did lick the knife.

Easter Time

The Easter festivities have started. The Easter Bunny came to visit our neighbourhood on Sunday. This was the creepiest Easter Bunny I have every seen. Look at those big eyes. Anyway when he walked in the room Kayla said "It's just a person because I can see his neck in the back". Oh well, we will see if they are still believers Sunday morning.

There was also an egg hunt but I forgot the camera. They did pose for a picture after the events sitting in the bedroom windowsill.
Kayla, Avery and Caden.

Stuck

In preparation for Kayla's party last week we moved all of the furniture around. Avery had been playing on the floor happy as could be but then the giggles stopped and the crying begin.
We heard the noise but couldn't find the baby. She was stuck under a chair and couldn't get out. You can tell by her expression that she was a little annoyed that we didn't help her sooner.

Lookin' Cute

Last week the kids were all playing on the bed before church. They all looked so cute that I had to get out the camera.
Our little lady Avery
Happy as can be.
Caden and Avery. He is so protective of her....just wait and it will all change.
Three little munchkins. Notice Kayla's awesome glitter belt. She wears it with everything.
The girls.

Happy Birthday Kayla

Kayla turned 4 on Saturday. We have never thrown parties for the kids before. We are not against parties but they have never asked for one....until now. Butterflies was the theme.

The birthday girl and the party food.
We had a fruit tray, veggie tray, butterfly graham crackers, and M & M's. The meat and cheese tray had butterfly shaped cheese and meat.
Pinata Time. Each kid took 3 hits and the ladybug.
Thank you to Ms. Kim for the beautiful butterfly cake. Of course it was pink (strawberry) inside. We also had butterfly shaped icecream for the kids to decorate while we were cutting the cake.
Thank you Nana for the sheets!
